To accompany priests and brothers on their journey to recovery, renewal, and rehabilitation, integrating spiritual guidance, individual counselling, 12 steps, traditions and promises, AA meetings and community support, to foster personal healing, restoration of vocational identity, and renewed commitment to their ministry.
About Friendship House
Unique and only alcoholic treatment centre in India, under the Diocese of Mangalore, exclusively for Priests and Brothers.
Co-founded in 1993 by the late Bishop Basil Salvadore D’Souza, then Bishop of Mangalore Diocese, and Mr Thomas (Tom) E. Garrett from Detroit, USA.
Treatment programme based on 12 Steps & Traditions of AA. Aims at Recovery, Renewal, & Rehabilitation (3’R’s).
Believes in Drugless therapy. Focused on holistic growth of an alcoholic.
Since its inception, Friendship House has successfully treated more than 700 clergy members, including priests and brothers, from various parts of India, Asia and Africa.
